Aonach Eagach in Glencoe is known as the narrowest ridge on the UK and is one of the trickiest climbs, I set off with high hopes of capturing this ridge with the milky way arching over it. However, with the melting snow I was close to the top when I realised that it was to dangerous a routine to continue on my own, I took this image while resting and feeling dejected that I had not achieve my target, however this image has a photojournalistic element as the three sisters of Glencoe are clearly visible and then the milky way arches over the glen with the cars fall below and leads the eye to the gloomily hiking astronomer trying to get reception in his phone!
